Draper Tractor Parts

In the heart of the Palouse, among the rolling hills of the richest dry soil farming in the Pacific Northwest, a dedicated farming family continues a business that began in the early 1960's. Amongst the fields of wheat, barley, peas and lentils, Draper Tractor Parts out of Garfield, Washington was started as a part-time one man operation. It soon grew into a business that has kept even the wives busy. As if farming in the early 1960's wasn't time consuming and grueling enough, founder Dale Draper enjoyed rebuilding tractors to make them more efficient. As time went on, he began buying tractors for parts.

In the early days, when Dale was farming or on the road hauling in a truckload of tractors, his wife Evelyn would handle the business and do the bookkeeping. Helping out in the shop were their three sons; Dave, Carl and Scott. After lending a hand to dismantle a tractor, the boys would collect the bolts into a five-gallon bucket and sell the bucket for a mere $5.00.

In 1978, the company expanded to Spokane, Washington. Dale and Evelyn ran the operation with part-time help from Scott who was going to Spokane Community College to receive credit toward his Agronomy Degree he later earned from Washington State University. At that time, Carl managed the Garfield shop until later moving to Spokane. When Scott graduated from Washington State University (WSU, go cougs!), he moved back to the family farm and took over management of both the farm and the parts business. Upon Dale and Evelyn's retirement in 1990, the decision was made to close down the Spokane division. A majority of the tractor parts were consolidated to Garfield. The remainder were auctioned off. Scott continues to run the business today with help from his son, Daniel, who recently graduated from U of W (Wyoming).

Those at Draper Tractor Parts strive to provide the best service possible to all of the Inland Northwest and beyond with the largest selection of used, rebuilt and new replacement parts in the Pacific Northwest. Since 1960, Draper Tractor Parts has dismantled 6 brands of crawlers (AC, CAT, IHC, JD, Oliver, and Case) and 10 brands of wheel tractors (IHC, Case, JD, Ford, AC, Oliver, MF, Versatile, Long and Steiger), providing many hard to find parts for over 165 different models (and growing). Inventory changes daily. The family operation knows the value of efficiency and tries to dismantle the machines as soon as possible so that the parts are on the shelves and available immediately. Also, by specializing in just selling parts and not being a repair shop, it keeps the cost of operation down with a substantial savings passed on to the customer. If a certain part is not in inventory, or if by chance a customer has a tractor model that has not been salvaged by Draper Tractor Parts, they are connected to a satellite locator system that consists of hundreds of salvage dealers in the United States and a large part of Canada.

With a dozen new parts warehouses and our valued association with hundreds of other salvage yards across the USA, Draper Tractor is able to stock and sell many gently used or new aftermarket agricultural and industrial parts and ship them from your local area so you can be back in the field or proudly driving that antique in the local parade in no time. A majority of these parts are no longer available from the original manufacturer. These parts are of original quality or better - available at a substantial savings. Draper Tractor Parts is a valued member of the NTPD Association.
